Benefits

• Subsidy for infrastructure, livestock production, forage production, establishment of organic manure unity, and annual health care of livestock
• Opportunity for each beneficiary to insure a maximum of 5 large livestock (cow/buffalo/ox/horse) or 50 small livestock (sheep/goat/pig/rabbit etc)

Subsidy

• To provide infrastructure: Subsidy of 50%
• For daily maintenance of basic livestock: 25% Subsidy on Rs. 70
• For forage production: Subsidy for maximum 2 hectors on the rate of Rs. 10,000 per hector
• Establishment of organic fertilizer unit: Subsidy of Rs. 10,000
• Management of Annual health maintenance of livestock. Per livestock: Subsidy of Rs. 300/-
• Beneficiaries shall pay the applicable service tax with 60% state and central government subsidy and 40% beneficiary share on Livestock Insurance premium

Eligibility

• Institutes with livestock who intend to apply for subsidy must have registered for at least 1 year
• There should be at least 2 hectors of land to produce forage
• Beneficiaries must have livestock
• There should be atleast 50 cattle
• Must be recommended by the district SPCA
