Benefits

Fishermen can take loans from Commercial banks upto Rs.50,000/-. Men will be given loans from Commercial/Rural Regional banks @ 2% interest. Women will be given loans on 0% interest

Subsidy

• General Category Fisherman will get Rs.1.20 lakhs for house construction
• House Construction : Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe beneficiaries will get Rs.1.75 lakhs for constructing house in rural areas and Rs.2,00 lakhs in Urban Cities

Eligibility

• Beneficiaries should be fisherman by birth..
• Those engaged in fishing activities may also be considered for this facility
• Fisherman should be married
• Fisherman should have his own site
• Fisherman should be member of Fishermen Cooperative Society or Fisherman should produce a confirmation letter from Fisheries Department Assistant Director (Grade-II) to the effect that he has been engaged in Fishing activities for the past three years
• Beneficiary should not have procured the housing benefit from any other housing benefit programmers. To produce a confirmation letter to this effect from Gram Panchayath, Municipality, City Corporation. Beneficiary to be from economically backward class

Documents to be submitted

• Letter from Applicant issued by the Fishery department confirming aid for fisherman not having own house – to build own house
• Applicant’s Joint Photograph with wife/husband
• Authentication/Confirmation on the joint photo by the Assistant Director (Grade -II) of the fishery department
• Assistant Director (Grade -II) Fishery Department’s confirmation that the applicant does not have own house
• Assistant Director (Grade-II) Fishery Department’s confirmation that the applicant is fisherman by birth/profession
• District Level Officer (Fishery Department’s) recommendation letter
• Confirmation from Fishery Department that the applicant will be provided with housing facility
• Fishery Cooperative Society’s confirmation that the Applicant is eligible for the housing facility
• Nominees Signature
• Identity Card from Fishery Cooperative Society Confirmation Letter from Fishery Department Assistant Director (Grade -II that the applicant is engaged in Fishing activities for the past 3 years
• Confirmation from District Gram Panchayath, Municipality, City Corporation, Metropolitan City Corporation that the applicant has not obtained any housing facility under Government’s any housing facility programme
• Applicant’s site possession certificate and other relevant documents
• Tax Paid Receipt
• Building Construction Permission Letter
• Certificate confirming the applicant is economically backward and his income certificate
• Applicant Caste Certificate (In case of SC/ST) recommendation letter from respective MLA
• Widow/Widower Applicant’s information letter
• Beneficiary’s confirmation on Stamp Paper abiding to the rules and regulations of the Unit and his signature
• Applicant’s Pass Book xerox copy IFSC Code to be mentioned (for RTGS Purpose)
