To encourage pregnant women belonging to the poorest of the poor to deliver at health centres/hospitals.
Mother and Newborn Preserving health.
Under Janani Suraksha Yojana, pregnant women below poverty line and SC/ST women will get Rs.500/- in case of deliveries at home.
In case of a delivery in institutions, Rs.600/- in urban areas and Rs.700/- in rural areas.
A sum of Rs.1500/- will be given for caesarean section surgery in private hospitals.

Must be a qualified couple in Karnataka
