Subsidy on all horticultural crops except tea coffee rubber
Only in Malenadu and coastal districts, which traditionally grow areca nut, subsidy will be provided for areca nut crop under irrigation and sprinkler irrigation norms.
By giving 40% subsidy to the farmers, encouraging them to adopt micro irrigation system in their farms, saving 50 to 70% of water, saving on electricity and labor costs.
Achieving 30 to 40% saving in chemical fertilizers by application of chemical fertilizers to crops through fertilization technology(ರಸ್ತಾವರಿ ಪದ್ದತಿಯ) in micro-irrigation.
Achieving 30 to 100 percent higher yield and productivity in crops
50% subsidy for various categories of farmers i.e. small and very small farmers and 45% for other farmers

All categories of farmers from all taluks of the state can avail this scheme
Preference will be given to those farmers who grow mixed crops in areca nut, coconut plantations and adopt drip irrigation for the mixed crop.
Drip irrigation subsidy is not given for arecanut crop grown under borewell canal water etc. in plain areas
