Accident insurance cover for private commercial transport workers such as drivers, conductors and cleaners, their dependents in case of an accident and death, permanent disability or temporary disability.
In case of death of drivers, conductors and cleaners due to an accident, a compensation of Rs 5 lakh will be given to their nominees.
In case of permanent disability due to accident, compensation up to Rs.2 lakh will be given to the beneficiary depending upon the extent of disability.
In case of receiving treatment for less than 15 days in the hospital for an accident as inpatient, a maximum of up to Rs. 50,000/-; or the exact hospital cost, whichever is lower will be provided, and if treated as an inpatient for more than 15 days, the maximum of up to Rs 1 lakh or the exact hospital cost, whichever is lower, can be reimbursed

This scheme is applicable only to the state of Karnataka.
The scheme is applicable to private commercial transport workers such as drivers, conductors and cleaners.
The age limit for the scheme is 20 to 70 years.
The benefits of the scheme are available both while on duty and not.
Drivers must have a valid driving license obtained from the Transport Department in the State of Karnataka
