Under this scheme the aim is to make landless women agricultural laborers of Scheduled Tribes into land owners. The unit cost under this scheme is fixed at Rs.25.00 lakhs for Bangalore Urban and Rural, and Chikkaballapur districts and Rs.20.00 lakhs for remaining 26 districts. 50% of the total unit cost is subsidy and 50% is term loan. The term loan is borne by the corporation itself.
Subsidy
The unit cost includes subsidies and loans in the ratio of 50:50. The total land available at the unit cost will be purchased from landowners who do not belong to SC/ST and registered directly in the name of the beneficiary.
