Sericulturists

Eligibility

• To prevent the spread of the infection rearing house should be separate and residential house should not be attached to it
• The floor and walls of the rearing house should be plastered from cement, rearing houses should be able to manage heat and cold and to effectively prevent the spread of infection
• Rearing houses should have windows/ventilators for adequate ventilation for rearing of silkworm
• Rearing house should be constructed as per prescribed blueprint(225, 600 and 1000 sq.ft. only). This rule does not apply to low cost sheds.
• Should have current pass book indicating sericulture
• The house should have not been financed under other schemes of the government before availing subsidy for silkworm rearing houses.
• Sericulturist should have the Mulberry plantation of minimum area as described above in their name and they should produce Pahani/ RTC document of the same
• Sericulturist should be cultivator of bivoltine/multivoltine with at least two bivoltine silkworm rearing per category. (There is no rule of cultivation of bivoltine crop for sericulturist of mysore seed area)
• Sericulturist should have silkworm rearing passbook/sericulture card

• Certified copy of Certificate from the competent authority for the construction of silkworm rearing house
• Current Pahani /RTC with survey number(s) of the Mulberry plantation
• a certified copy of loan sanctioned letter, If availed loan from financial institutions for silkworm rearing house
• Original copy of the approval letter for construction of silk worm rearing house from Competent Authority
• Original copy of the sanctioned blueprint for the construction of the silkworm rearing house
• Location Inspection Report – Before and after report on construction of silkworm rearing house
• Estimate of silkworm rearing house (cost estimate list)
• Details of being a registered Sericulturist
• Agreement on Rs.50/- stamp paper
• Inspection by Sericulture Extension Officer of Technical Service Centre/ Inspection and recommendation of the Assistant Director of Sericulture/Inspection and Recommendation of Deputy Directors of Sericulture/ Inspection and recommendation of Joint Directors of Sericulture
• Caste certificate for SC/ST
